Today marks the 25 year anniversary of the September 11, 2001, Terrorist Attacks. Regardless of where you stand politically, or what conspiracies you may or not subscribe to, it is safe to say that the world changed on that day. Lives were lost. Families were forever impacted. And the Country came together in a way that I’d not seen in my lifetime.
Something happened on September 12. A sense of unity and togetherness. A nation united together as one people. On September 12 it didn’t matter how old you were… the color of your skin didn’t matter… your political party affiliation didn’t matter, and it didn’t matter what spiritual beliefs and background you had. The Nation truly stood as the United States of America.
And in the last 25 years, we’ve forgotten. We’ve forgotten what it means to be united as one. We’ve forgotten the lives lost on that day. We’ve forgotten that together we are stronger. We’ve forgotten that together, we can accomplish anything.
